Meet Ethan D. Irwin, Esq. – NYC Car Accident Lawyer

I am the owner and managing attorney of The Irwin Law Firm, PLLC, with over 21 years of experience in civil litigation and personal injury law. I have successfully represented countless injury victims in the State and Federal Courts throughout New York City and Long Island.

Before dedicating my practice to advocating for injury victims, I spent ten years as an insurance defense attorney representing six Fortune 500 insurance companies. This experience provided me with invaluable insight into how insurers assess, litigate, and resolve claims. I now leverage that knowledge to anticipate defense strategies and build stronger, more effective cases for my clients. In addition to my litigation work, I served as a Court-Appointed Referee in Nassau, Richmond, and Kings Counties.

I founded The Irwin Law Firm, PLLC in August 2020 after working as a managing partner at a boutique Manhattan personal injury firm. The Irwin Law Firm, PLLC has since expanded with offices in both Manhattan and Long Island.

After honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, I earned my undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University and my law degree from St. John’s University. While in law school, I interned with Brooklyn Defenders and volunteered to assist survivors of domestic violence in obtaining orders of protection. I remain committed to public service and continue to provide pro bono legal representation to veterans.

As a Nassau County resident, I serve on the Bethpage Grumman Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant Restoration Advisory Board, where I advocate for clean and safe drinking water within our community. Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, racing cars, and training in martial arts.
